Terry served as a Co-Director of the HKU Centre for Medical Ethics and Law from 2014 to 2020. Prior to joining HKU, he was with the Faculty of Law at the National University of Singapore. His research interests include decisions at the end of life, genetic privacy, and the shape of future developments in legal and ethical obligations in relation to the acquisition and custody of clinical and genetic information by clinicians, biomedical researchers and other data custodians.
