Professor Craig PURSHOUSE

Craig is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Law and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Medical Ethics and Law at the University of Hong Kong. His research interests are in medical law and torts and he has published on a diverse range of medical law topics including consent, reproductive negligence, conversion therapy, the medical treatment of children, the protection of autonomy and surrogacy.

Craig was previously a member of the editorial board of the Medical Law Review and remains on the board of the journal Medical Law International, having been joint editor-in-chief of the latter journal until recently. His research has been cited by the UK Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal of Singapore, the High Court of England and Wales and the Law Commissions of Scotland and England and Wales.
