Professor Hualing FU

Hualing is Professor of Law and holder of the Warren Chan Professorship in Human Rights and Responsibilities. His current research focuses on a critical re-assessment of rule of law reform in China in the past four decades. His other research areas include the constitutional status of Hong Kong, in particular central-local relationships in the Hong Kong context.

Professor Gilberto K. K. LEUNG

Professor Gilberto K. K. Leung is a neurosurgeon, Clinical Professor, and the Tsang Wing-Hing Professor in Clinical Neuroscience at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). He graduated from the Medical College of St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, University of London, with M.B.B.S. in 1992. During postgraduate training in England, United States and Hong Kong, he was awarded the Hallett Gold Medal by the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and the J. Douglas Miller Medal in Neurosurgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He joined HKU in 2005 where he subsequently obtained his MS, PhD, and MD.

Vivian is the Executive Associate Dean in LKS Faculty of Medicine. She is concurrently Professor of Public Health Practice. She was the Former Director of Health System in the World Health Organization (Western Pacific Regional Office). She has more than 30 years of experience in public health, with a variety of leading roles in policy and programme development, health services planning, research and teaching, and senior administration in complex organizations.

Dr. Ron ZIMMERN

Ron is a distinguished figure in medicine, public health and policy. He created the Public Health Genetic Unit in 1997, which later became the Foundation of Genomics and Population Health. He has written widely on medical ethics and law issues, such as on the ethical issues on revealing the results of whole-genome sequencing and predictive genetic testing.
